Abby, Bed Bug Dog

Hi, I’m Abby. I was was trained at FSI Kennel in Alabama. I was 6 months old when the trainers took me from the shelter to become Johnsie’s bed bug dog. I trained there for 4 months and when I was ready, Johnsie drove to Alabama to meet me and train with her. Together, we passed the WDDO certification test and are now the Carolina Bed Bug Dog scent team.

Not afraid to travel, I’m one of few bed bug dogs in the mid-Atlantic region. I sniff for bed bugs in North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and South Carolina. But I can also be convinced to sniff out bed bugs in other states upon request. My hope is to be the best bed bug dog I can be!

On some of my days off, I enjoy chasing rabbits and squirrels and walking in the park.
